This Month: Nathan* and his friends were spending spring break in Mexico. Nathan was getting ready for a day of water sports when he received a call from his father, who shared the difficult news that Nathan’s grandmother had been rushed to the hospital and might not make a full recovery. Nathan wanted to get home as soon as possible and reached out to his travel risk management provider, On Call International, for assistance.

On Call to the Rescue

Nathan explained everything to On Call, and he felt immediately relieved when we assured him we would get him back home as quickly as possible. We asked for his original flight details, passport and hotel information and located the closest airport. With the assistance of the airline, we were able to change Nathan’s original ticket and locate a flight home for him that evening. We also confirmed he had transportation from the hotel to the airport and kept his father in the loop regarding Nathan’s travel plans

Home in Time

We spoke with Nathan prior to his flight to ensure he had everything he needed and advised we would touch base after he arrived safely home. As soon as Nathan arrived, we connected him with his family and confirmed he made it to the hospital to visit with his grandmother. Nathan was relieved to have On Call by his side during such a stressful family emergency.
