Helping Travelers Every Day: Meet the On Call Team
On Call’s in-house Operations, Medical, and Security Teams aren’t just names on a screen—they’re real people who work tirelessly behind the scenes, 24/7/365, to support our mission of helping travelers, like yours, every day.
This blog feature serves as a way for you to ‘meet’ the kind faces on the other side of the phone (or keyboard!) and give you an inside look at On Call’s culture. Introducing Daniel Jack (Senior Assistance Coordinator), Genevieve Holland (Lead International Nurse Case Manager), and Justin Galbraith (Global Security Specialist)!
Daniel Jack
A Little About Me: I joined On Call a little under two years ago and enjoy helping people all around the world. We traveled a lot when I was younger and settled down in Wales, where I grew up and now call home. I have a relatively large family, but my pet cat ‘Socks’ is probably my favorite addition. In my spare time I enjoy going to the movies, gaming and finding a good spot to eat! I also enjoy travelling to new destinations to experience their culture and cuisines!
Why This Job is so Meaningful: Working at On Call gives me the opportunity to help everyday people all around the world. When traveling you never think about the ‘what if’s.’ However; being part of a team who can answer those questions and provide direct care and assistance at a time of need, just shows how critical our role is and makes me want to continue what I do.
Genevieve Holland
A Little About Me: I have worked at On Call since February of 2013-(wow!). I was born in NYC and grew up in Maryland. I now live in New Hampshire with my husband, two teenage boys, and one irresistible French Bulldog. In the winter months, my family is heavily entrenched in ski racing. In the warmer months, we enjoy hiking and boating. I especially love to travel, and have been lucky enough to visit many parts of the world, but there is still so much to see!
Why This Job is so Meaningful: The case management expertise required to manage medically compromised travelers is unique and keeps me on my toes! We are able to offer support to those who are feeling overwhelmed and uncomfortable in settings that can feel difficult to navigate. I love advocating for swift intervention and safe outcomes so that travelers can recover from their hardships. A phone call can be the difference!
Justin Galbraith
A Little About Me: I’ve been working at On Call for about 2 years! I’m originally from Colorado and graduated from Michigan State University (Go Green)! I’m an Amazon Prime member, and my fun fact is that I can cook minute rice in 58 seconds. On weekends you can find me hanging out with friends, losing in fantasy football, learning a new language, or skiing! And of course I love to travel!
Why This Job is so Meaningful: I love helping travelers navigate serious security issues. Personally, when traveling in my past life, I have faced disruptions and potential security concerns, and I wish that I had access to On Call to assist me! I love problem solving and working on high stakes security missions and evacuations. It’s so rewarding!
