Lauryn Eksoozian, Claims Specialist
A Little About Me:
I joined On Call in July 2019. I was born and raised in NH, but graduated from Johnson & Wales University in RI with a degree in International Business. While in school, I studied abroad in Seville, Spain, which was one of my favorite experiences. I still live in New Hampshire and have two cats, Chester and Fez. I love going on walks, discovering new music, and watching old movies. I hope to travel more in the future, and my dream destinations are Ireland and Pompeii.
Why This Job is So Meaningful:
I’m very lucky to say that I enjoy what I do. Reviewing claims and policy wording might seem repetitive, but each traveler and each case has a unique story. Each claim is like a puzzle, and some are easy to solve, but some take a lot of teamwork. I like the challenges that more complex cases bring, and I enjoy working hard to find a solution through collaboration and problem-solving.
How Have you Recently Made a Difference in a Traveler’s Day?
I usually work with the travelers after their emergency has ended, and they’re hoping to recoup their unexpected, and sometimes large, out-of-pocket expenses. I recently had a traveler who, due to her medical emergency and a language barrier, could not obtain the documents we normally need for her type of claim. However, I was able to work with her and come up with an alternate solution so she could still submit her claim and get a full reimbursement.
